Ways to Make Money in College

Being broke in college wasn't fun. Luckily, the Lord blessed me with a job that worked with my class schedule and required minimal activity. I was a desk assistant for several dorms on campus. I watched Netflix and studied. I was also a summer camp counselor for several years up until graduation, you know B loves the kids! It was a breeze, but I got paid! As school rolls back around, here's a few ways to make moneyyyyy and still hit them books!

Sell Your Sh*t

Sell your things, it's quick and easy! Old textbooks and old clothes sell them, it's plenty of sites, stores, and people willing to buy them. 

Hustle

People are so freakin' talented it's just so beautiful to see! Doing hair, nails, dj-ing, graphic designing, photography, makeup, endless things, but these things can be a hustle and bring in cash especially for college students. Use your God given skills! Other college students are always looking for cheap and decent services. If you're good at something, work on it, use it, and get the experience.

Part Time Jobs

Although we work in time where being your own boss is ideal, everyone has to start somewhere! Part time jobs are good for the experience, getting a little extra money, and it looks good on your resume when applying for other jobs. It shows companies that you have a variety of skills, you're versatile. College towns always have part time jobs, it may not be what you want, but it'll definitely give you what you need. . . the money! So next time you're looking for a part time job, check your local businesses, your schools/university jobs sites and get to applying! 

Surveys/Rebates

Now the internet can be our friend, it's a lot websites and companies that will give people money just for doing surveys! Crazy right, as much as people dread doing surveys, most of the time they're quick and easy, we just overlook them. Another way to make money is signing up for rebate sites and apps! Companies such as Dosh and Ebates use your everyday purchases as a way to help other companies run their businesses and you can receive cashback from those purchases. Wow... All those fast food and Sephora runs start to pay off! Take the time to download these apps and sign up on the sites if you're looking for something quick and easy. You're able to spend and get a little back too!

Although these jobs become a part of your life, make sure you're remembering why you're there in the first place, to further your education, so don't let the job stress you, it can be replaced, but tuition can't!
