#BLACKOUTTUESDAY

"To be a Negro in this country and to be relatively conscious is to be in a rage almost all the time."

- James Baldwin

Today is June 2, 2020, I stand in solidarity with my people as we fight police brutality, racism, and injustice in this country. As they try to erase us, we stand strong, we are resilient. It breaks my heart to hear the emotion of our people during the protests. To walk in the footsteps of our ancestors, chanting the same words, filled with the same emotions, praying this time will be different. We will be heard! We have yet to receive the respect that we have given, we have yet to receive the cooperation we have displayed, and we have yet to receive the justice we deserve! Now we demand it!

Please stop silencing people's cries, by telling them how to protest. We cannot tell anyone how to express themselves. There is no playbook on protesting.

BlackOutTuesday has been created to hit them where it hurts. Please refrain from shopping today. As we continue on our journey, please be conscious of where you spend your money. Buy black & support your community.

Please stay safe. Stay Black. Stay golden xo.
