The Ones That Got Away...

I know sometimes we all find good shows & suddenly after a season or two... CANCELLED! You’re like what happened or thinking if anyone loved the shows like you did. Asking yourself questions like, How could they cancel the show without a proper ending. Here’s 5 shows that I love that ended so quickly & where you can catch up on them!

1. The Carrie Diaries (Netflix)

Basically this is the prequel to Sex in the City, I never actually watched it episode by episode, Sex in the City that is lol, but I know the background of the show. The Carrie Diaries follows young Carrie and her friends in the start of her writing career, she eager, rebellious, & she’s also a teen! The show ended in 2014 on its second season. Honestly, the show did end on a good note, kind of wrap up ending, but I wanted more! I really enjoyed this show, the fashion, and the cute little 80s vibe it gave. Luckily, I can always watch those 2 seasons on Netflix until they decide it’s time to let it go then i’ll be S.O.L (Short of Luck)!

2. Underground (Hulu)

Underground is a tale of the Underground Railroad. Even though it’s fictional, the story is influenced by historical events and figures! It’s gives you history, it’s gives you love, it gives you scandal, and lastly it gives you the rage and emotions like you were there in the story! Underground ended in May 2017, with a cliffhangin’ second season! We all knew the show was coming back, it was no way they could leave the audience hanging, but unfortunately Underground is now off air & last I heard, still looking for a new home, but you can always gather yourself with those first two seasons on Hulu!

3. The Get Down (Netflix)

The musical show we needed! Honestly I loved The Get Down, it was fun, funky, and all about music... and a little love and action too! It’s a Netflix original, I enjoyed it because it’s very a cultured show! It was like disco experiences the birth of hip hop! The Get Down ended in 2017, with only one season under their belt! Really couldn’t find a legit reason for a cancellation, but as they say, all good things must come to an end! Since it is a Netflix original, guess where you can catch it? On Netflix, duhrrrr! Lol.

4. Pitch (YouTube, Amazon Prime Video)

Pitch is about the first woman to enter the MLB and she happens to be black, which made it a plus in my book! The show follows the main character Ginny Baker and her team, we see the experience she has as being the first woman in the league and how it affects her family, career, love life, and lastly her inner self. It was on for a season, but it wasn’t really a wrap up ending, more like wait on it, I’ll see y’all next season, but that's not what we got! Pitch last episode aired December 2016 and got cancelled shortly afterwards! The show is was on Hulu, but it’s not there anymore, you can catch it on YouTube or Prime Video for a fee of course!

5. Awkward (Hulu)

I discovered Awkward in college, I use to watch it while I was it was still on air. Awkward was a great name for the show! The show wasn’t awkward, but the situations and experiences each character has are Awkward. It’s something relatable, not every experience is a good one, but it’s a lesson, and Jenna & her friends definitely went through a few things! Awkward ended on one of those awkward notes too. The shows last episode aired May 2016, no hey guys this is the last season, but more of we’re going to have another season, then nothing! No worries though, Hulu has all the seasons & they do air the episodes on MTV from time to time!

Hopefully you guys take a look at my watch suggestions and if you guys have any shows that you want to share, feel free to let me know! I love to watching something new! Stay Golden xo.
